4 CEs for Mental Health Professionals

Many clients continue to struggle despite consistent therapy, insight, and appropriate clinical intervention. In some cases, underlying physiological contributors may be influencing symptoms that appear psychological in nature.

This intermediate-level training explores how counselors and mental health professionals can ethically recognize symptom patterns that may warrant medical collaboration while remaining within scope of practice.

Participants will examine how physiological conditions can contribute to presentations that resemble anxiety, depression, trauma responses, cognitive difficulties, emotional dysregulation, panic symptoms, and treatment-resistant mental health concerns.

This training emphasizes clinical assessment, ethical collaboration, case conceptualization, documentation considerations, and whole-person care without encouraging clinicians to diagnose medical conditions or practice outside their professional role.
